Position Summary

This is an incredible opportunity to join a fast-growing Agency and transform the world of Advertising and content creation thru Virtual Production technology.  First and foremost, we are looking for a professional that’s passionate about filmmaking and how the blend of art and technology such as the evolution of Virtual Production are transforming the content creation and production industry.   You will collaborate with the VP Team in designing and defining how Virtual Production can add value to each project from the concept stages to final delivery.

What you will do:

• Participate in client pitches and meetings to present our VP services and spot new opportunities to win work and or generate new revenue streams
• Participate in the project from the initial concept design and pre-production stages, OnSet shoot, and post-production to guarantee that the project is moving ahead to deliver the client’s vision
• Participate in script breakdown as well as budgeting and scheduling from initial award to final delivery
• Attend sessions with the key project stakeholders such as: Director, DP, Production Designer, Producer and VP Team to define resources, planning, bidding and timings
• Define what is possible, when VP adds value to a project or to specific scenes, which scenes to shoot with virtual sets
• Collaborate with a distributed team of Technical Artists, agency creatives, Directors, VFX Supervisors, DPs and producers on defining the best approach for each project
• Collaborate with the other heads of department in defining new workflows, optimising processes and in building bespoke tools to improve the overall quality and output of Hogarth’s Virtual Production services
• Point of contact for our VP clients and a trusted partner for virtual production, ensuring future work
• Run daily/weekly meetings with your production crew and our VP Partner to ensure projects are running smoothly and offering advice when needed
• Mentoring and guiding our Virtual Production crew from Production Assistants to Production Managers
• Attend weekly meetings with the Head of Production, Head of Virtual Production and our VP Partners to review status of current projects and any potential incoming new projects
• Make sure the equipment required is being setup and ensure that the result is according to the creative intent of the project and that it withholds client expectations.

Who you are:

• A professional with extensive experience in the supervising complex visual effects projects from concept to final delivery and that required the use of virtual sets, realtime OnSet technologies for realtime camera tracking and live compositing
• Comfortable speaking and presenting ideas to clients whilst working in a dynamic fast paced production environment with multiple key stakeholders
• Able to conceptualise and prototype ideas quickly to provide a better understanding of the project goals and specific requirements
• Great listener with a focus on understanding the project requirements and needs of a team
• A Strong problem solver with a holistic view of the creative and content creation process
• Open and comfortable speaking up when things are working and not working as expected
• A team player without issues Asking others for help or help others
• A professional comfortable on pushing the boundaries, exploring new ways of working, questioning the status quo and striving to develop I 6nnovative solutions in the market.

What you’ve got:

• Minimum of 3 years working on complex visual effects projects for feature film, TV Series or TVCs that made extensive use of Virtual Sets preferably being On Set
• Minimum 1 years of experience working in Virtual Production projects
• Minimum 3 years working in a supervision or managerial role
• Ability to gather info from projects and present proposals for new tools and process to optimise and improve the end-to-end VP workflow
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong experience of working on set understanding of Camera, Lenses, Lighting and colour workflows.

Familiar with:

• Realtime technologies Render engines: Unreal Engine and VRay
• Working with photoreal environments for productions that relied on Green/Blue Screen shoots, with experience on projects relying on LED Walls for ICVFX is more than welcome
• Realtime virtual production workflows and solutions
• VR/AR tools and tech for visualisation
