The Role:

The candidate will be joining the Production Workflow team, part of 'Global Product & Engineering'. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a fast paced and innovative team.

The primary function of the Production Workflow Support Engineer is to maintain and support systems as required, with the aim of providing a stable and fully functioning production environment across all our hubs globally. Working within the Production Workflow team requires the candidate to have strong technical skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

The technical landscape at Hogarth is evolving. The Production Workflow team are key stakeholders within Hogarth's 'Open Content Platform’ (OCP) Programme, a critical workstream to create Hogarth's next generation bookings manager. The OCP platform is designed to manage all content being created in Hogarth’s global studios, from initial client brief all the way through to final billing.

OCP underpins various third-party technologies for which the Production Workflow team have established integrations with. With these integrations a core component is managing production data across Hogarth’s global file systems, with the ability to move data on demand to studios with adequate resources and skill sets.

  • Signiant Manager and Agents
  • ESKO Automation Engine
  • Ziflow
  • Chilli Publish
  • InDesign Server
  • Azure Integration Services

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the performance of the production workflow infrastructure
  • Assisting production workflow engineers by taking care of support requests
  • Responding to support tickets in a timely manner and addressing issues until they are resolved
  • Escalate workflow or technical issues with senior production workflow team when necessary
  • Providing users with training and information regarding the use of new workflows
  • Build knowledge of Print, Digital and Broadcast Advertising industries
  • Build knowledge of cloud hosted environments MS Azure, Google Cloud
  • Collaborate on conceptual processes and designs for workflows

Technical Skills:

  • Third Line Support experience
  • Good working knowledge of Mac OSX, Network and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good working knowledge of JSON and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX operating systems
  • Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
  • The ability to multitask, as the job often involves working on more than one project / issue concurrently
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to correctly diagnose and fix problems
  • An inquisitive mind and a real interest in IT to remain up to date regarding new technologies
  • Excellent teamwork, as Production Workflows involve many different professionals with different skill sets and levels of expertise
  • Able to adapt to new working methods and practice technology advances
