What does an Account Director do at Hogarth? 

As an Account Director you are a leader within the Client Services Department and are pivotal to the smooth running of the business. Our account handlers are responsible for client relationships, managing the team, building relationships with stakeholders, and delivering against budgets and workflows. You should have a proven track record within account handling, have knowledge of industry best-practice and have a strong commercial acumen. 

Reporting lines and key stakeholders 

This role reports to the Business Director/Group Account Director (based in Singapore) and you will collaborate with stakeholders across all departments 

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as point of contact for escalation for the client/agency and internal teams, resolving problems quickly and communicating effectively 
  • Work on adaptation campaign works 
  • Work closely with BD/GAD on P&L, forecast, budgeting 
  • Have financial responsibilities, including preparing cost estimates 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements and SLAs
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, manage perceptions and expectations
  • Liaise with different internal teams on specified client requirements and resolve client issues/complaints to the satisfaction of main stakeholders
  • Understand how client, agency, and Hogarth relationships interact
  • Manages teams to succesfuuly execute in a quick paced enviroenment across varied project types.
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions and problem-solve based on sound knowledge
  • Capability of working under pressure and to tight deadlines 

Financial Management 

  • Works with interdisciplinary teams of creative, production and technologists to define and develop scopes and estimates of projects (goals, deliverables, schedule, and budget), helping to translate creative concepts into clear sets of deliverables with proper staffing  
  • Owns project budget and tracking of all ongoing costs throughout the project lifecycle, reconciles estimates to actuals on all projects, and resolution of budget discrepancies between disciplines, vendors and clients 

Risk Management 

  • Focuses on delivering great work and proactively identifies barriers to creating great work and works to remove them, when applicable, raises more significant issues to senior management. 

Hogarth 

  • Demonstrates an understanding of Hogarth's capabilities and production process.  

Day-to-day tasks can include 

  • Distribute contact reports and agendas 
  • Develops and maintains scopes, timelines and budgets 
  • Coordination between Project/ Transcreation Management, Hogarth, client and agencies 
  • Strive to better client and stakeholder relations
  • Highlight and escalate quality control issues
  • Handle all aspects of client campaigns from planning through to delivery
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions and problem-solve based on sound knowledge 

Qualifications 

  • At least 5-8 years in an advertising / production environment 
  • Proven experience in primary and post-production (e.g. shoots, post-work process, etc.)  
  • Sold understanding of production and the creative development process, content production, technology, quality assurance testing and marketing methodologies 
  • A professional and approachable demeanour and the ability to thrive in the dynamic, highly matrixed agency environmen
  • Knowledge from working in an advertising adaptation role preferred
  • Focus on continuous improvements, delivering excellent quality and high levels of customer service
  • Understanding of financial compliance procedures
  • Sound technical understanding of client requirements
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
