What does an Account Director do at Hogarth?
As an Account Director, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic clients, developing a deep understanding of their business objectives and translating those needs into innovative, successful content programs. You will lead client engagements end-to-end, navigating day-to-day relationships while overseeing the financial health of each account. Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically, manage detailed execution, and consistently champion innovation to drive both client growth and long-term partnership value.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mid- to Senior-level Account Director to join our rapidly evolving team within a fast-paced environment shaped by ongoing advancements in AI and production innovation.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing key client relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns that leverage the cutting-edge WPP Open platform, including its agentic and generative capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives on challenge, embraces change, and is passionate about shaping the future of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Understand client business needs, challenges, and opportunities to proactively identify and propose innovative solutions.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion by continuously demonstrating the value of Hogarth’s products and services, particularly in AI-driven and content automation solutions. Develop and present compelling proposals and strategic account plans.
- Manage account profitability, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking, and reporting on financial performance. Oversee billing processes and ensure financial health and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and evolving product offerings, particularly in the AI and content automation technology space, to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Work seamlessly with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance) to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Proactively identify potential issues and develop effective solutions, demonstrating a solution-focused mindset to overcome challenges and optimize outcomes for clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 6–8+ years of experience in account management, client services, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within a fast-paced technology, advertising, or media agency environment; proven experience working with complex clients and managing multiple projects simultaneously, including exceptional project management / project leadership (ability to define scope, manage timelines, allocate resources, and mitigate risks across multiple concurrent projects).
- Demonstrated knowledge of campaign management, advertising production processes, and digital marketing strategies, plus ad operations experience with the technical and logistical side of digital advertising—understanding how teams setup, deliver, track, and optimize digital/mobile ad campaigns across platforms like search, display, and video to ensure optimal delivery.
- Proficiency in Google Ads and Google tools (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Meet) for collaboration, reporting, and presentations.
- Experience managing financial tasks related to client accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability, with advanced capability in managing account P&L, developing financial models, and presenting financial performance effectively.
- Deep understanding and passion for agentic workflows and generative AI, machine learning, and ad tech, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with large, matrixed organizations and a track record of building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with C-level executives and senior stakeholders, acting as a strategic thought partner rather than just a vendor.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to identify, propose, and implement innovative, data-driven solutions that leverage emerging technologies to solve client challenges and drive measurable business impact.
- Anticipate client needs, foresee potential challenges, and take initiative before escalation. You are always looking for ways to add value and drive improvement.
- Hold a positive, can-do attitude and seek innovative and effective solutions. You are adept at creative problem-solving under pressure.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, and you manage multiple priorities and deadlines with efficiency and precision. You bring structure to complex situations.
- Thrives in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and embrace new technologies and evolving strategies with enthusiasm.
- Team player who excels at working cross-functionally and building consensus among diverse groups.
